Nine killed by gunman in Pakistan

Police say at least nine foreign tourists and their guide have been killed by gunmen in a remote area of Pakistan.

They were shot dead at a hotel in a northern province.

A local police chief said the victims were from Russia, China and the Ukraine.

He claims they were killed as they set out to see one of the world's highest mountains.

The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the killings.
