Bored convict asks to go back to jail

A man in New Zealand asked to go to prison because he had "run out of Xbox games to play".

The 19-year-old convict - whose name has not been revealed - had just one month left to serve on his 11-month home detention but he was so bored of playing on the console he wanted to go to jail.

According to The Northern Advocate newspaper, Senior Constable Paul Nicholas said the man had exhausted his games and would rather be in prison.

His request was granted and he is now staying in Ngawha Prison.
