An Egyptian court has turned down deposed president Hosni Mubarak’s request to be released from prison during an investigation into corruption charges, according to the state news agency.

An Egyptian court has turned down deposed president Hosni Mubarak’s request to be released from prison during an investigation into corruption charges, according to the state news agency.

The Cairo Criminal Court ordered Mubarak to remain in jail on Sunday for 15 days while the charges are probed, news agency MENA reported.
