Miners trapped in Chinese mine saved after 60 hours

Three miners have been rescued after spending two and a half days trapped underground because of flooding in a coal mine in China in which three of their colleagues died.

Three miners have been rescued after spending two and a half days trapped underground because of flooding in a coal mine in China in which three of their colleagues died.

Xinhua News Agency said the three were lifted to safety from the mine in Guizhou province’s Weng’an county early today. They were taken to hospital, where they were said to be in a stable condition.
