Hundreds of mourners gather for funeral of a sheep
A British village is in mourning following the death of a 22-stone sheep.
Hundreds of mourners attended a service for Nick Boing - who loved going for walks and starring on TV – after he became a local celebrity near the Rhiwbina area of Cardiff.
The four-legged friend was taken in as a pet by resident David Palmer, but the sheep passed away earlier this year after ballooning to 22-stone.
Residents’ association chairman Mary Clarke is quoted by the Metro newspaper as saying: "Walking across the park today was quite strange – he was always at our events.
"He was a celebrity, a real focal point of the neighbourhood."
