Firecracker set off in Cyprus bank

A powerful firecracker has been detonated inside a branch of the Bank of Cyprus, the country’s largest lender.

The state-run Cyprus News Agency quoted police sources as saying the explosion late yesterday caused some damage to the branch in the suburb of Limassol and that the scene has been cordoned off.
