TV newsreader's boyfriend re-writes autocue to propose marriage

A news presenter read out her own engagement announcement after her boyfriend re-wrote the station's autocue.

Fox54 host Jillian Pavlica was reading out the "and finally" section on the TV news and stumbled on the word "proposed" before realising what was happening and looking up to see her fiancé-to-be Vince walking in and getting down on one knee in the studio.

She read: "We have some breaking news to report to you, Fox54 has just learned that a Huntsville news anchor is being proposed to on live TV right now."

Vince then walked in and said: "Hello my dear.

"For years we’ve talked about this. And for years you told me to be patient and that our time would come. Finally all our pieces are falling together.

"I can’t picture a day in my life not waking up with you by my side."

She accepted the proposal and everyone in the studio applauded.
