Should have gone to Specsavers – but not that way!

A driver was left red-faced after crashing into an opticians.

The motorist mounted the curb and smashed through the window of the spectacles company - whose slogan is, "Should have gone to Specsavers" - in Kent, south east England, but it is not known what provoked the accident.

Fortunately, nobody was seriously hurt, although substantial damage was caused to the car and red liquid - which is thought to be break fluid - was all over the road.

One bystander told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "No-one was hurt, thankfully."
