Woman down £26,000 after paying money into wrong account
A British woman has lost £26,000 after paying £1,000 a month into the wrong bank account for two years.
Sally Donaldson didn't realise she had been mistyping her account number while using internet banking and had in fact been putting her money into someone else's account – and now Nationwide bank says it is unable to retrieve the hairdresser's funds after the recipient spent the cash.
