Environmentalist calls for a cat-free New Zealand

A New Zealand environmentalist wants the country to become free of cats.

Gareth Morgan called on owners to make their current cat their last in order to save the nation’s unique native birds.

He does not suggest people kill their cats, but rather neuter them and not replace them when they die.
