A High Court judge has defended the right of people with learning difficulties to be free to make mistakes in their personal lives, including getting pregnant by accident.

A High Court judge has defended the right of people with learning difficulties to be free to make mistakes in their personal lives, including getting pregnant by accident.

The judge said that “a young woman” left seriously impaired by a series of strokes had the capacity to decide whether to continue – or terminate – an 18-week pregnancy.
