Authorities in Japan have suspended rescue work today inside a long Japanese road tunnel after concrete ceiling slabs fell onto moving vehicles and killed nine people.

Authorities in Japan have suspended rescue work today inside a long Japanese road tunnel after concrete ceiling slabs fell onto moving vehicles and killed nine people.

The rescue work has been paused to allow the roof to be reinforced.
