Couple forsake holidays to care for pigeon

An elderly Austrian couple have not gone on holiday for 17 years to stay at home and look after their adopted pigeon.

Bertl and Irmi Reiterer have cared for Susi – who often uses their oven as a nest, meaning cooking options in their home are restricted - since finding her on the side of the road in Salzburg after she had been hit by a car, and they can't imagine being apart from her.
