Burglar sentenced to household chores

A burglar has been sentenced to doing household chores.

Jamie Froom was spared prison after admitting to two burglaries because he agreed to make his bed and do the washing up.

Sentencing Froom at Bristol Crown Court, judge David Ticehurst told him: “You can make your bed every day, do the washing up and respect your mum and dad.”

The 18-year-old was also sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid community work and six months’ drug rehabilitation, and the judge warned him he could face time in prison if he fails to do his chores.
