Now that's a regular - man visits local pub every day for 72 years

A 90-year-old man has been to his local pub every day for the past 72 years.

Arthur Reid has been honoured with a plaque at The Griffin in Warmley, Gloucestershire, south west England, after drinking more than 30,000 pints of beer in the public house over the years.

He is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "I used to get up very early every morning and was paid seven and sixpence for working an 80-100-hour week…There was no such thing as holidays back then.

“I’ve always worked hard and enjoyed visiting the pub – I’ve never seen the need to go much further.”

Arthur, who left school at 14 and hasn't married or had kids, hasn't ever felt the need to find a different pub to drink in.
