Boy wins $1,000 - and donates it to care for sick neighbour
An eight-year-old US boy won $1,000 and immediately donated it to the care of his young neighbour.
Wyatt Erber brought tears to the eyes of the citizens of Edwardsville, Illinois, after winning the cash in his bank's scavenger hunt and donating it to help care for his two-year-old neighbour Cara, who is battling leukemia.
Cara's mother Trisha Kielty couldn't believe it when Wyatt rang her up to inform her of his kind gesture.
She said: "He said, 'How much chemo will $1,000 buy Cara?' I'm completely floored by him. To step up and donate his winnings ... is crazy."
