Bride disappears in falls plunge

A bride who was being photographed in her wedding dress has disappeared after losing her footing and plunging into a waterfall in Canada.

Sergeant Ronald McInnis of the Quebec provincial police said the woman was standing on a rock and slipped and fell into the falls earlier today.

A rescue team is looking for her at the Dorwin Falls in Rawdon, north of Montreal. She had chosen the site as the backdrop for her wedding pictures.

McInnis described the site as elevated and rocky, with water “violently” rushing below.
