For sale: One pub with beer-loving swine included

A pub in Australia has gone up for sale complete with its own beer-drinking pig.

The establishment is on the market for AUS$800,000, and includes Pinky - the alcohol-swigging porker - as well as the 1880-built pub, which offers accommodation and trout fishing opportunities.

While potential buyers will not get the chance to share a pint with Priscilla – the pub's first ever beer-drinking pig, who is now deceased – they will feel equally at home with Pinky, who tends to bond with customers over a cold alcoholic refreshment.

Anne Free, the establishment's owner, is quoted by The Mercury as saying: “I never thought I would have to compete with a pig but that is what happens here. People come to the pub to meet the pig not me.”
