Man waits until obituary to admit crime
A US man confessed in his obituary that he'd stolen a safe.
Val Patterson wrote the piece last year before his death from throat cancer aged 59 last week, and he admitted a number of indiscretions.
He wrote: “As it turns out, I AM the guy who stole the safe from the Motor View Drive Inn back in June, 1971.”
Val also revealed that he never held a doctorate from the University of Utah, nor graduated, despite telling people he had done after receiving a degree due to a paperwork error.
His widow, Mary Jane, admitted all the confessions are true.
