US man pays off mortgage with two boxes of pennies

A US man has made his final mortgage payment with 62,000 pennies.

Thomas Daigle warned his bank that he had every intention of using his spare change to pay off his property loan for his Milford home in Massachusetts, so he turned up and dropped off the cash in two boxes, which weighed around 800 pounds combined.
