Man steals and returns car - twice
A US thief has stolen the same car twice.
A man has been left frustrated after his car was stolen in May, when he left the keys in it, only to be returned the next day. A few weeks later, the thief returned, took the keys from inside the man's house, as well as $300 in cash, and stole his black Chrysler 300 a second time.
The New Jersey man - who has not been named – was then surprised when the thief once again returned his vehicle.
The man said the thief had returned a third time, presumably to steal the car again, but fled when he was confronted.
Manalapan police Lt. Mike Fountain said: “This is not your typical car theft. Usually the thieves don’t return the property. They usually take it and do what they will with it.”
Police investigations into the crime are ongoing.
