Cruise liner hits bridge
A Chinese luxury cruise liner accidentally crashed into a bridge.
The pearl No.7 boat accidentally crashed into a bridge in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, Eastern China yesterday, losing a chimney in the process.
The sea liner is seven stories high, and a miscommunication about its size caused it to float to the bridge, which was also damaged in the collision. Witnesses say it now has a near perfect chimney shaped hole where the collision took place.
The deluxe cruiser is equipped with a shopping mall and entertainment centre for up to 1,000 people. No one was hurt in the minor crash.
The ship was being towed to a downtown terminal in preparation for a National holiday in October before the accident happened.
