Three charged with offences relating to dissident republican activity

Three men have been charged with serious offences relating to dissident republican activity.

The three - aged 41, 42 and 47 - were arrested last Monday in Lurgan, Co. Armagh.

They have been charged with conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to cause an explosion, preparation of terrorist acts and collecting information of use to terrorism.

The 47 year old man has also been charged with directing terrorism.

The men will appear before a sitting of Lisburn Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Meanwhile, three other men and a woman arrested as part of the same investigation last Saturday, remain in police custody.
