Budgie back home after giving own address to police
A lost budgie in Japan has been taken back home after it recited its whole address to a police officer.
The bird – which fled from a house in the Sagamihara district of Yokohama – was handed over to the officials after being caught in a hotel, and it randomly began saying its home address to the officer despite not speaking about anything else, Kyodo News reports.
Thanks to the budgie's helpful instructions the police were able to track down its 64-year-old owner, who claims he taught his feathered friend his address just in case it ever became lost.
