Car for sale. One lady owner, 576,000 miles

A 93-year-old grandmother is selling her car, which has 576,000 miles on the clock.

Mrs. Veitch claims the 1964 Mercury vehicle – which she has owned for 48 years - has outlasted three different marriages and had 18 battery changes and eight exhaust mufflers throughout its life, and the motor even survived a crash in 1980.

The granny – who is parting with the car after being declared blind - told Fox News: "When I buy gas, I write down the mileage, the date and how many miles per gallon I got.

"I've never been a destructive person and I've just taken care of everything, except my husbands."
