Man held after woman and child die in Wales

A man has been arrested in Wales on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman and child.

North Wales Police were called to an address in Porthmadog, Gwynedd, at 9.20pm yesterday and the pair were declared dead at the scene.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene in Glanmorfa Terrace, police said.

A spokesman for the force said officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
