Guinea pig breaks long-jump record
A guinea pig has smashed a world long-jump record for his species.
The animal, called Truffles, has been confirmed as the new Guinness record holder after leaping 30cm, breaking the original record by 10cm, lured by some cucumber.
His owner Chloe Macari, 13, contacted Guinness World Records and called upon an official witness to verify the feat.
Her mum Angela told The Courier: "Chloe knew Truffles had always jumped so tried it out - she followed what they had done and set two boxes up at the same distance as the record.
"He jumped that no problem and continued to break the record."
