Fireman breaks ankle saving goldfish
A British firefighter has broken his ankle while trying to save a goldfish.
The man was attending a blaze in Surrey in England when he opted to rescue three fish. When he was walking out of the first floor flat with the goldfish bowl, he tripped over a shoe and broke his ankle.
Fire chief Steve Preston told Metro: "There was very thick black smoke and the whole flat was damaged. It’s absolutely covered in black soot.
"We did manage to save the goldfish and the bowl. The three young ladies were quite happy that their pet fish were saved."
