'Day of national disaster' after four deaths at French school

French President Nicholas Sarkozy has branded today "a day of national disaster" after a gunman opened fire at a Jewish school in Toulouse, killing a teacher and three children.

The killer then fled the scene on a motorbike. It was the third similar attack in the region in less than a week.
