One-man town up for grabs in US

A one-man town in the US is being put up for sale for $100,000 (€76,000).

Buford in Wyoming is going under the hammer after its only resident Don Sammons decided to retire from his job as a petrol station owner with a view to relocating from the town - which is thought to be the smallest in America - next month.

He told The Wyoming Tribune: "It's was a great life for me and for my family.

"I don't believe putting up for sale would do it justice. I needed to find someone who is an expert in selling unique and one-of-a-kind items.

"It is a sad day, but it also will be a very interesting day and a new chapter in my life. I'm ready for it."

The town features just one home, an old schoolhouse and three acres of land.
