Have your cake and….drive it

A US couple have created a speedy car made nearly entirely out of cake.

Carey Iennaccaro and her partner, Mike Elder claim their motor – which mostly consists of cake and other calorific treats - is made of 95% edible materials, and it has managed to reach a top speed of 28 mph.

The pair decided to create the vehicle out of edible products because they wanted to dismiss a public perception that cake batteries are full of nastiness.

Carey told the Kansas City Star: “We’re all a little fed up with how the world thinks we are cutthroat and negative. We’re all about having fun.”
