British granny accused of littering after thread drops from her glove

A British grandmother has been fined £75 (€89.96) for littering after a thread of cotton dropped from her glove.

Valerie George, who lives off a £105-a-week (€125.95) pension - couldn't believe it when an environment officer from her local council issued her with a £75 fixed penalty fine for littering.
