Montreal man stakes claim to solar system
A Quebec man has been barred from filing lawsuits without authorisation after he demanded sole ownership of the Earth.
Judge Alain Michaud has prohibited Sylvio Langevin from filing a lawsuit unless he has written permission from a judge after he recently laid claim to more than nine planets and four of Jupiter's moons.
Michaud explained: "Mr. Langevin seems to have understood that the absence of respondents to his motions reduced his risk of being once again declared a quarrelsome litigant.”
Discussing Sylvio's claim over the ownership of the Earth, Alain added: "If there was a respondent, it would be God."
