A 40-year-old man was remanded in custody today when he appeared in court charged with making a hoax bomb threat at Stansted Airport in England.

Paul Jackson (aged 40) of Infirmary Street, Blackburn, Lancashire, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates' Court to answer a charge of communicating false information, a spokeswoman for Lancashire Police said.
