Probe after body found in Manchester
The body of a man believed to be aged in his 30s has been found at a house in Manchester, police said today.
A murder inquiry was launched following the discovery at the address in Woodhouse Park, south Manchester, yesterday.
Officers were called to the property in Tayfield Road shortly before 5.45pm after a report of concern for welfare.
Police forced entry into the house and found the body. The victim had suffered from chest injuries.
Detective Chief Inspector Pete Marsh, from the Major Incident Team, said: “We are in the early stages of the investigation and are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“I would like to reassure residents that detectives are determined to find out what happened and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious at the time of the incident to contact us.”
