Police arrest man for possessing $1m note
A man has been arrested in the US after he tried to pay for his shopping with a $1 million note.
According to police, Michael Fuller claimed the money was real after he attempted to purchase $476 worth of goods – which included a microwave and vacuum cleaner - at a Walmart store in North Carolina, the Winston-Salem Journal reports.
He was charged with "attempting to obtain property by false pretence and uttering a forged instrument".
The largest dollar bill currently in circulation is $100 after notes worth up to $10,000 were stopped in 1969.
