A British mother has changed her name to Pink Sparkly And All Things Nice.

The beauty therapist - who used to be called Charlotte Price - loves the colour pink, which is the shade of her house and most of the clothes she wears.

However, her name change has not gone down well with her mother and kids, who refuse to call her by the moniker.

She said: "My mum thinks I'm a bit mad really and so do my children. They stick to 'Mum'."

Pink is one of 100,000 Britons who opted to change their name in 2011, including Daniel Knox-Hewson and Kelvin Borbidge, who now have superhero-style monikers.

Daniel officially changed his name to Emperor Spiderman Gandalf Wolverine Skywalker Optimus Prime Goku Sonic Xavier Ryu Cloud Superman Heman Batman Thrash, while Kelvin is now Baron Venom Balrog Sabretooth Vader Megatron Vegeta Robotnik Magneto Bison Sephiroth Lex Luthor Skeletor Joker Grind.
