International relations sour as French MPs pass genocide denying law

French MPs have passed a measure that would make it a crime in France to deny that the mass killings of Armenians in 1915 amounted to a genocide.

There was no official vote count in the balloting in France's lower house of parliament, where MPs simply voted by raising their hands.
