Britain takes part in euro talks, despite Cameron's agreement refusal
British officials will take part in talks on a new deal designed to save the euro, despite David Cameron's refusal to sign up to the agreement.
The British Prime Minister refused to sign up to the deal, as other member states refused to implement safeguards for the city of London.
But last night, David Cameron agreed to take part in technical discussions on the structure of the treaty, following a conversation with the President of the European Council, Herman von Rompuy.
Meanwhile, the leaders of Hungary and the Czech Republic have said they will not agree to a new treaty unless plans to harmonise tax are dropped.
The Prime Ministers of Hungary and the Czech Republic said they were committed to stability in the Eurozone, but also wanted to maintain their independence.
