UK Police officers have bought 10,000 sweets to hand out to students to remind them to keep the noise down when returning home from a night out.

The confectionery have the words "Quiet Please" and "Shush" on them to encourage partygoers in Durham, north east England, to tone the volume down following complaints by local residents.
