Spanish man gets serpentine surprise at ATM

A Spanish man has withdrawn a snake from a cash machine.

He went to take money out from a branch of the Caja Madrid bank in Llodio, Alava, when the serpent, who was stuck in the mechanism of the ATM, attacked him when he was getting his money out.

He alerted the police and the snake was removed, put in a box and taken to a shelter, according to Euro Daily News.

The police have not ruled out the possibility that someone put the serpent in there as a joke.
