US man considers hysterectomy after giving birth three times

A transgender US man is considering a hysterectomy after giving birth to three kids.

Thomas Beatie - who was born a girl before having his breasts removed and then legally becoming a man, but keeping his female organs - became the first man to give birth in 2008, but he now wants to stabilise his masculinity with his latest operation.

Speaking on TV show 'The Doctors', which he appeared on with his wife Nancy and children, he said: "People have used the debate that what we're doing is unnatural.

"We've received death threats [that say] our children are going to go to hell, we're going to go to hell, we should be killed."
