Teen shot in back in London

A teenager has been shot in the back and wounded, police in London said.

The 17-year-old was attacked overnight on East India Dock Road in Poplar, east London.

Scotland Yard said the incident happened just before 1am.

“A 17-year-old male had a gunshot wound to the back and in hospital in a serious condition,” he said.

Police had no more details of how the attack happened and declined to say where the youth is being treated.
