More workers join Greek strikes

Greek railway workers and journalists have joined a wave of strikes against austerity measures imposed to prevent the country defaulting on its debts.

Strikes also kept island ferries in port for a second day today, while rotting mounds of rubbish remained uncollected for the 17th day in the country’s cities.
