Police impersonator stops real officer in the US

An alleged police impersonator has reportedly pulled over a real officer.

According to officials, a 42-year-old man stopped a real Albuquerque Police Department detective, who was acting undercover, which led to him being charged with a misdemeanour instead of a more serious felony charge.

However, he denies impersonating an officer, explaining to KOB4: "At no time did I say I was a cop, did I pretend to be a cop, did I badge anybody. At no time did that happen."
