Polish candidate defends election striptease video

A wannabe Polish politician has been slammed by her own party for performing a raunchy striptease in her election video in a bid to get more votes.

Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) candidate Katarzyna Lenart is seen wearing a trouser suit at the beginning of the recording but quickly ditches her clothes so she is left in just her underwear.

SLD spokesman Tomasz Kalita said:"Party political broadcasts like this should not exist.

"I don't think this sort of ad has its place in left-wing politics. We should be enacting a ban on sexist advertising."

However Ms Lenart has defended herself saying: "I thought it was time to cause a stir."
