Theme park fits oversize seats for larger customers

A British theme park has increased the size of some of its rollercoaster seats to cater for larger customers.

Thorpe Park's Nemesis Inferno now has specially-designed super-size seats after so many people had to be turned away from the ride because they were too overweight to fit on it.

Mike Vallis, Divisional Director at Thorpe Park, said: "The reality is that we are super-sizing - and that's a fact we're embracing. Why shouldn't people be comfortable when they are enjoying a day out with their friends or family?"

Reality TV star Paddy Cunningham, who appeared on TV show 'Biggest Loser', has praised the move after he was too big to fit on the rollercoaster when he last visited the park.
