Woman wants $100,000 compensation for 10 minutes of depression

A Canadian woman is suing a chewing gum company for $100,000 (€74,360) because she claims it caused her to suffer depression "for 10 minutes".

Elsie C. Pawlow has filed the lawsuit against Kraft Canada Inc. - which is the parent company of Cadbury Adams, the creator of Stride gum - after her chewing gum allegedly broke into pieces and stuck to her dentures, which led to her spending 10 "depressed" minutes trying to "dig out" the foodstuff in a "disgusting" procedure.
