Aussie driver was speeding 'to dry car'

An Australian driver caught speeding has told police he had just washed his car and wanted to dry it.

Adam White was caught doing nearly 80 miles per hour in a 50mph zone in Tasmania.

He was disqualified from driving and fined more than €500.

The judge told him it would have been cheaper to buy a couple of hairdryers.
