Champion eater comes to sticky end

A Ukrainian man has died after coming first in a dumpling eating contest.

Ivan Mendel, 77, consumed 10 of the food items in half a minute to win a one-litre jar of sour cream - but shortly afterwards he became unwell and passed away.
